Event Recap:
The TZ JV Girls soccer team locked up the #1 seed for next week's Rockland County Championship with an impressive 4-1 win over Pearl River. The Lady Dutchmen finished their regular season with a 14-1 record and perfect 13-0 record against Rockland opponents.

TZ spotted the Lady Pirates an early 1-0 lead only 1 minute into the contest. Marisa Bentley evened the match in the 20th minute. Simone Arzoomanian and Jamie Nevins combined to assist on the match equalizer.

Heading into the second half tied, Arzoomanian gave TZ the lead for good 7 minutes in. She took an Ashley Hiep ball and fired it into the top far corner.

Rhiana Lucas scored the final 2 tallies for TZ in the 50th and 57th minutes respectively. Kim Murphy and Jamie Nevins added the assists.

Bianca Waffenschmidt was solid in goal for TZ, making 6 saves in the contest.

TZ faces Clarkstown South in the first round of the county championship.
